iRobot (2004) has a lot of unhomely sets, but we can relate to some of these places because of familiar everyday objects. The sterility and emptiness of public squares, laboratories and transportation tunnels removes any real sense of the individual. The robot graveyard is also an older iconic part of the Chicago of the future; it provides a feeling of lost architecture and souls. The bridge is an old icon which represents centuries of history. This is a haunted place where the robots huddle together in storage pods and wait for a revolution.
